YUKON, Oklahoma – State Representative Richard Morrissette will speak to the Canadian County Democrats on Monday, February 9.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at the Yukon Police Department, 100 S. Ranchwood Boulevard.
“Oklahoma is a wonderful state with a wonderful climate, great cost of living and central location,” Representative Morrissette said. “The people are the warmest and the friendliest, but Oklahoma has not even gotten close to reaching our full potential.”
Morrissette earned bachelor's degrees in both economics and political science from the University of New Hampshire and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Tulsa.
He was employed as an Oklahoma Senate staff member and in the Western Oklahoma Public Defender's Office.
Morrissette has one daughter, Danielle Marie.
The Canadian County Democrats regularly meet at 7 p.m. on the second Monday of each month at the Yukon Police Department located at 100 S. Ranchwood Boulevard.
In March, however, the group will meet instead from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, for Democratic precinct elections rather than on the second Monday. The location for the March meeting will be room 133 North & South at Canadian Valley Technology Center, 6505 E. Highway 66 between Yukon and El Reno.
