Congressional Candidates to Face Off, Bean Supper Band to Perform at July 17 Fundraiser

EL RENO, Okla. -- Congresssional District 5 candidates Billy Coyle and Tom Guild and District 3 candidate Frankie Robbins will top the list of Democratic speakers on Sat., July 17, at the Canadian County Democrats’ BBQ Dinner and Candidate Forum at Redlands Community College Conference Center in El Reno.

The conference center is located on the west side of Redlands Community Center one mile north of I-40 at 1300 S. Country Club.

The fundraiser begins at 5:30 p.m. with entertainment by the Bean Supper Band, registration and a silent auction. Band members are Richard Ruth, Tim Wagner and Tim O’Connor, all from Yukon, Rodney Boegel from El Reno Worth Lambert from Kingfisher, Jeff Boydstun from Okla. City and Brent Wilcox from Minco.

"This is the fifth year that we’ve had the candidate forum," Canadian County Democrats Chair Jody Harlan said, "People say that it’s one of the best in Oklahoma because we’re always trying something new."

Democratic candidates who have agreed to participate at this time are:

Tickets are $30. Event sponsorships and program ads are available. Dress for the event is country or casual.
