What do precinct officers do anyway?!!

posted Feb 22, 2015, 10:25 PM by Jody Harlan

Please join the Canadian County Democrats from 7-8:30 p.m. on Thurs., 03/12/15, for Precinct officer elections at Canadian Valley Tech Center, room 133, 6505 E. Highway 66 between Yukon and El Reno. This is an important meeting so we will NOT meet at regular monthly meeting time in March.

So what do precinct officers do anyway? Good question.

-- Having at least one precinct officer (chair, vice chair, secretary) in the 52 precincts in Canadian County strengthens the party and helps us elect Democrats.

-- Precinct leaders are voting delegates for their neighborhoods (precincts) at the Canadian County Convention from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. on Sat., 04/11/15, at Canadian Valley Tech Center. You are also the voting delegates at district and state conventions.

-- We will provide maps so you know the boundary of your precinct and info on your precinct polling location.

-- You can help Democratic candidates by finding sign locations and telling your friends and neighbors to vote for Democrats!

-- You are welcome (not required) to be active in Canadian County party events and activities.

-- Some precinct officers have neighborhood meetings to energize other Democrats.
