Canadian County Democrats and friends will be getting signatures on an initiative petition at Czech Fest, Oct. 1. Senator Jim Wilson is getting the petition ready so voters can sign seeking a state law to set fair guidelines for drawing House, Senate and congressional districts on a non partisan basis. The goal is keeping counties and cities together. Please bring clipboards or stiff cardboard with rubber bands to hold petitions and pens if you can. The petition will also be posted soon on www.okfairplay.com thanks to Rena Guay.
We need volunteers to help at the Czech Fest exhibit booth (space# 50) at 4th and Main (near Yukon National Bank) from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Or please join us at 9:30 a.m. to walk/ride with our Democratic float. Directions: Take the Garth Brooks exit from I-40. Go north. Park at the high school on Garth Brooks and walk to the float (# 82) on the same street south of Main Street (Route 66). Call 405-354-3189 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. See you there!
