Canadian County Democrats to hear May 8 presentation on national healthcare reforms

Retired high school history and government teacher James Huff will take the fiction out of reforms contained in the Affordable Care Act at the Canadian County Democrats’ monthly meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 08.

The public is invited to this open meeting at Canadian Valley Technology Center, located at 6506 E. Highway 66 between Yukon and El Reno. Seating will be s available on a first come, first served basis. There is no charge to attend.
The Affordable Care Act, often referred to as “ObamaCARE” by its opponents, is currently awaiting the Supreme Court’s decision based on constitutional challenges.

“It is to the benefit of all Oklahomans to know as much as possible about the language and reforms in the Affordable Care Act,” Huff said. “If you are informed only by what the opponents say, you may not know about the reforms that benefit you.”
Now retired, Huff taught high school courses in the Oklahoma City Public Schools for more than 30 years, including  U.S history, world history, economics, government, geography, sociology, the Bible as history, religions of the world, psychology, and human relations.

He is an ordained deacon in the Baptist church, treasurer of the Mainstream Oklahoma Baptists and a previously served as an adult Sunday school teacher .
