Democrats to walk/drive Feb 23 for OKC City Council Candidate Carolyn Sims

posted Feb 18, 2013, 8:35 PM by Jody Harlan
The Canadian County Democrats will meet at 9:30 a.m. on Sat., Feb. 23, to walk and drive for Carolyn Sims, candidate for OKC City Council in Ward 1.  Meet us at McDonald’s at 13300 Piedmont Road and Northwest Highwy. We'll get our briefing and leave at 9:45 a.m., so we can be on the streets before 10 a.m. Our goal is to help Carolyn until 2 p.m. If you are serious about electing Democrats and strengthening our party, this is the place for you! Please join our team!

Carolyn has seven years experience as a real estate broker. She and her Campaign Manager Nick Singer are running an impressive, well-organized race. Many people say Democrats’ best opportunities are in non-partisan races like city council and school board.
What Carolyn Sims stands for:

1) Sidewalks and Infrastructure – We need sidewalks and quality roads, which are suffering from years of neglect.

2) Public Safety – Ensuring adequate police protection is vital to OKC’s continued success.

3) Balanced Investment – Revitalization of Bricktown has been a success, but we need the same success in our neighborhoods.
Ward 1 includes east Yukon and south Piedmont in Canadian County. Check out the ward map at http://www.okc.gov/council/WardMap/wardmap.pdf

The election is March 05. Please call 405-326-3600 or email hwinc@cox.net to say “YES, I'll help!”
