Canadian County Democrats to elect county officers, delegates at April 2 convention

Grassroots leaders and members are invited to attend the Canadian County Democrats Convention on Sat., April 2. The group will convene to elect county officers and delegates to represent Canadian County at district and state conventions.
 
The county convention will be held from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Canadian Valley Technology Conference. The facility is located at 6505 E. Highway 66 between Yukon and El Reno.

All Democrats are encouraged to attend. Only those elected at the precinct meetings will have voting privileges at this meeting. Those who were not able to attend the precinct meeting may be elected officers or delegates.
 
The county chair, vice chair, secretary and eight delegates elected at the County Convention will represent county Democrats at the Third Congressional District Convention on April 30.

Three elected delegates will represent the county at the Fourth Congressional Convention on the same date.

All Democrats are invited to participate in the Democratic State Convention on May 14 at Bricktown Hotel & Convention Center, 2001 E. Reno Ave, in Oklahoma City.

Dana Orwig, candidate for State Democratic Party chair, will be the speaker at the Canadian County Democrats’ next monthly meeting at 7 p.m. on Tues., April 10, at Canadian Valley Career Technical Center.
