93 Activists Attend DFA Training in Canadian County March 12

posted Mar 12, 2011, 8:55 PM by Jody Harlan
The Canadian County Democrats hosted 93 activists and 5 national trainers at the Democracy for America Campaign Academy on March 12. (March 13 is the 2nd day.) DFA Director Jim Dean (Howard Dean’s brother) was there to open the training, which has been intense and fast-paced. Gov. David Walters spoke at lunch about opportunities for the OK Democratic Party to control our message. The trainers are fantastic! We had more than 50 people – double what we expected – at the Sat Social at Interurban tonight. It was standing room only. Thanks to Rodney Boegel and all our fantastic volunteers. You are doing a great job! The energy is really high – just what we need to fill vacant precinct spots and move on with spring conventions and other events. If you missed the DFA training, that’s okay. There are a lot of opportunities coming soon. It's time to be (not just talk about) the change you want to see.
