CANADIAN COUNTY, Okla. – Thirty-three families with an average of four students each lined up Saturday, August 6 at the Lord’s Harvest Food Bank in El Reno to receive school supplies donated by the Canadian County Democrats.

The volunteers also registered three voters, two Democrats and one Republican.

“This is the tenth year that the Canadian County Democrats have distributed school supplies in the county,” said Dennis Purifoy, candidate for House District 60, which includes El Reno and west Yukon. “We are happy to help the community with an outreach project that gets students ready for school and helps teachers with basic supplies their students need to succeed in school.”
